It's time for my annual State of the Planet address. While I previously would write this post on December 9, I have now decided to publish it on the last day of the year so that I have time to think and reflect on events from the entire year.

This has been a particularly rough year for me personally but more importantly, it's been a tough year for the planet. Of course, the main concern most people seem to have these days is the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel.

My statement on this matter may be controversial but I believe it needs to be said. In general, I do not feel taking the life of another human being is always the preferred course of action in any conflict. However, the situation between Hamas and Israel has become increasingly complicated in recent years and I see no other path forward than for each side to fight for their beliefs until this conflict is resolved.

Both sides have their own reasons for fighting and while I think the loss of innocent lives is nothing short of tragic, I hope that this war brings the conflict to a definitive ending so that both parties never have to fight again.

Like the kids in the image I created using AI for this post's thumbnail, I wish for future generations to be able to laugh and smile through life as we have to wage the unfortunate wars behind the scenes that will shape their world.

I have similar feelings towards other conflicts around the world such as the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and the conflict in Sudan that began earlier this year. While there will certainly be wars in the future, my dream is for a world where we learn to fight with our words and not physical weapons.

In more positive news, at the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Dubai this month, I was thrilled to hear that almost all nations have agreed to finally move away from fossil fuels towards more renewable energy sources. This is a great step forward and I hope this decision will help us to end Kali Yuga swiftly to bring about Satya Yuga.

On that note, I began this year spending time with a good friend named Satya and throughout this year he and others have helped me to better understand truth. It is by no means easy, as the pursuit of truth is a lifelong process that can sometimes create uncomfortable situations.

This year, as I saw Padmavati pursue a side quest that made me reinterpret a section of my Purana, I realized that we all make mistakes as human beings. The important thing is that we never stop learning and we never stop growing.

So pursue the truth at all costs, and let's make 2024 an exciting year for humanity.

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/73243332023-12-25T01:00:00-05:002023-12-26T16:23:03-05:00KALKI ON TEACHING
Hello dear readers! And if you're new to this blog, welcome!

I have previously written here about my work as a teacher in Shambhala, but while that post was on education, I wanted to write a new post more specifically about teaching itself.

Before I continue, a note on the thumbnail of this post: while I was teaching over the past few months, I finally received my diploma for my Masters in South Asian Studies.* For anyone who doubts my credentials, this means that I am an expert on the people, culture, history, and stories of the most populated region on Earth. As a teacher, I used this knowledge to better understand how all people function, especially in my hometown.

I had incredible teachers throughout my educational journey, and I used what I learned from all of them as I brought my own personality to the classroom.

Now on to the real reason for this post…

On December 21, 2023, I was called in for a meeting with the administration at the school where I have worked since September to answer questions about conversations I have had with certain students that were deemed inappropriate for a public school. My conversations were private with students whom I considered to be mature enough to handle them, and what I said did not break any laws.

I was also asked to reveal information I knew about students' private lives and I only said that I knew about certain things that I have not shared with other administrators.

I have heard some teachers tell me that we should reveal whatever we know to administrators and other adults to protect ourselves. However, as a teacher, I saw my role as someone who should not only educate my students but also protect them from the judgments of those who do not take the time to understand the world they come from. More importantly, I did my best to show my students that many of us adults are not so different from who they are now.

While I do not regret my actions, I do apologize for any harm this may have caused. I have read all the messages I have received from former students, including the ones who disagreed with my choices. I appreciate the support many of you have shown, and if you disagreed with me, I understand your sentiment and I am sorry if you may feel as if I have let you down.

While working as a teacher, I was learning from all of you just as you were learning from me. In that sense, while you may have had only one me, I had 120 of you. I will be using what I have learned from my students to tell the world the story of what our world is really like through an epic television series based on my life.

Remember, truth should always prevail. Be your truest selves and please be safe while doing it. Life is not about being right or wrong. It is about cause and effect. Your actions have consequences and they can either be positive or negative. I choose to see this situation positively because it has inspired me to become a better role model for my students, even if this means I do this outside of the classroom.

And if you ever need a friend, since I am no longer a formal teacher, I can finally say that you are free to call me your friend. Because if there's one thing this world needs a lot more of, it's friends who understand the life you're living. You'll never get any judgments from me. I'm just happy to listen and help.

Oh and one last thing... expect a lot more content from me in 2024. Yes, that means... my TikTok is coming back.

-k

*The diploma in the thumbnail has been edited to reflect my name as I would wish to be known in the world. For the same diploma bearing my legal name, please contact me directly.
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/71969712023-04-25T21:34:18-04:002023-10-16T10:54:02-04:00KALKI ON ATTACHMENT
Before I went to bed last night, I decided to watch a film that a good friend of mine had been suggesting for some time. The film marked the first time the man in the thumbnail of this post and Robert DeNiro ever appeared on screen together. Does anyone know the name of the film? I'll give you a hint… despite being nominated for no major awards… it is one of the HOTTEST films in its genre!

Give up? The movie was called Heat, and it came out in 1995. And here's a wild coincidence, it just so happens that the man in the thumbnail of this post, Al Pacino, turned 83 today! I genuinely did not realize that when I randomly decided to watch this film, but if you know anything about me already, you know I don't believe in coincidences.

Now the main reason I bring up this movie is because of a dialogue that is repeated multiple times by DeNiro's character in the movie: “Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.”

This dialogue makes sense in the context of the film for people who are always on the run, but does it still make sense for the world we live in today?

Certain philosophies in the world teach detachment from life… but I tend to argue otherwise.

Humans are naturally collaborative creatures and connecting to something else is part of who we are. If you have nothing to hold on to, does life really still have meaning? It doesn't necessarily have to be a person… it could be a job or a home or even just a loving pet. Heck, given the state of AI today, one day in the future you could end up connecting with a digital character.

In general, I think that attachments make us more engaged in the world and allow us to have a deeper relationship with our surroundings.

I say all this today to you as I read news article after news article about how Padmavati is delaying our Swayamvar because she isn't entirely sure if I am going to show up for her.

Since many of you know my story already, should I trust what Śuka has told me about Padmavati, even though we haven't met yet… or should I let go of the one attachment that has given my life its highest meaning?

Your answer could be the key… to unlocking our future!

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/71766692023-03-22T16:10:18-04:002023-09-21T05:04:54-04:00KALKI ON NOT BEING KALKI
Happy Chaitra Navratri, the First Day of Ramadan, and Nowruz to all those observing these holidays over the past few days, today, and over the next month.

At the end of 2022, I was faced with a rather complicated predicament: do I put out my annual state of the planet address when I really don't know what to say... about the state of the planet?

It may seem a silly thing to say, after all, I really should have something to say about the planet at the end of every year, but this year something felt different. Barring the fact that in 2022 I decided to hide this website behind a password, this past year felt like the year when... I wasn't fully myself.

Somehow I don't feel I am alone in this thought. As many of us came out of the pandemic and began to go about life as normal, some countries plunged right back into it. As many countries were feeling the aftermaths of their widespread society-changing protests, other countries just began to enter theirs. Not to mention, as many countries ended their wars, in Ukraine their war was only beginning.

How do we make sense of such a world, where we are all struggling to understand our own identities? It's a question that I think about often, and this is the best answer I can come up with:

It is okay to take some time to disconnect from the world and reevaluate who you are.

Sleep in. Call in sick. Take a day off. It's okay.

You cannot be perfect every single day, and more importantly, being perfect every day is not even a life worth living. Life is measured as much by the days when things don't go your way, as it is by the days when things are better than you could've imagined.

This past year, I enjoyed not being Kalki as much as I enjoyed being Kalki. I have learned to appreciate those days of living off the grid.

Funny, I didn't want to write about the state of the planet but I suppose in a strange way this was a statement on the state of the planet.

But I still wonder, have you felt the same about your life as well?

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/70828062022-10-28T11:00:00-04:002022-10-28T14:36:19-04:00KALKI ON LEADERSHIP
This past Diwali, in a country I prefer to call Simhala, a new person became the leader of the ruling political party of that land. The following day, he was named the Prime Minister of the entire country.

There are several things that make this event monumental, but I will focus on three. Well... actually four.

First, he is the youngest person to ever hold that position in Simhala. Second, he is the first person of South Asian heritage to be in that post. Third, he considers himself to be a believer of the same ancient texts that brought me forth into your world. And four?

He has to become the leader the country needs, in perhaps its darkest time of recent memory.

Leadership.

It isn't easy to be a leader. If it was, everyone would be doing it.

Perhaps the most challenging part about being a leader is that you have to constantly make daily choices that could affect many people, sometimes as few as just a handful if you have your own small business, or as many as a billion if you have to do the kind of work I do.

So while it is easy for many of us to take down the people who face those choices through our comments in the media or on social networking platforms, do you think it is at all possible for us to learn to understand them, how difficult their positions are, and maybe, just maybe, learn to give them a fighting chance?

I know. It's tough. Simhala has gone through many leaders in just the past year, and the death of her recent Queen has only made it harder for us to believe in them again.

But Simhala is a good place, and I believe in this man.

So with that, I say, Godspeed to you Rishi Sunak. The world is watching. Do us proud.

I could be biased though... since my girl became who she is through the gifts of the Simhalan Kingdom...

Or should I say, Queendom?

It was during his time at this ward, a month after he arrived there in fact, where he would go on to paint arguably his most famous work: The Starry Night.

So I ask you all, was this man, Vincent Van Gogh, a genius... or a deeply troubled individual?

Mental health.

It's National Mental Health Month here in the country where I reside, and I am confessing to you all here for the first time, I too have had my fair share of challenges with my mental health.

My difficulty has been very similar to that of Gogh: how do people like us make sense of a world that well... sometimes doesn't quite make much sense?

Simply put? We must communicate.

Whether through our art, or just by speaking to a trusted individual (or individuals), putting ourselves out into the world and, more importantly, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable in how we do that can ultimately help us achieve anything we want to do.

If you too are dealing with mental health issues, please know, that I am always here for you.

If you want to talk about something that's bothering you, please reach out to me on any of my social media platforms.

I may not always be able to respond to you, but I will always make sure you get the help you need.

After all, wouldn't humanity's collective mental health be much better if we all looked out for each other a little bit more?

I think so.

Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/69674262022-05-08T10:00:00-04:002022-05-09T23:58:51-04:00KALKI ON MOTHERHOOD
Did you know, that the famous person in the thumbnail for this post, Kasturba Gandhi, the wife of Mahatma Gandhi, and I both share the same birthday and that that day is now celebrated as National Safe Motherhood Day in India?

Well, if not, now you know! And knowledge is... all together now, power!

But more than this fun fact, given recent events in the land of my birth, I feel that today, on International Mother's Day, I must write here about an extremely important issue that I hold near and dear to my heart:

Motherhood.

Of course, becoming a mother is a true blessing and joy for millions around the planet who have children every year, but as a society, we must ask ourselves if becoming a mother is something that every woman truly wants, or is even ready for.

Better yet, we should be asking, is it even anyone else's decision what a woman should be allowed to do with her own body?

The answer to this question should be a resounding no, and India has always known that.

National Safe Motherhood Day, among many other things, was created in order to support all mothers, including those who wish to safely and mindfully terminate their pregnancy for any reason whatsoever.

Bringing a child into this world is not an easy task and no one, I repeat, NO ONE other than the woman faced with that choice should have any right in deciding whether or not she wants to proceed with it.

If the world's largest democracy has figured this out, why is the world's largest economy finding it so difficult to understand such a simple concept?

Perhaps, the answer to this question lies right there in the wording. In a democracy, the government is supposed to listen to its people... but in a world driven by economics, all one thinks about is whether there will be more human beings coming along to make more money.

Mark my words, these laws will not stand and the people will rise up to challenge them.

This is my warning to you all... my people are coming for you.

We have the knowledge and we have the power.

This is the world of Kalki... and it's just beginning.

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/69569222022-04-25T23:40:00-04:002023-12-10T13:12:36-05:00KALKI ON MONEY
Okay for this particular blog post let's start off with a little imagination exercise if you don't mind. It's a little weird but I promise, it will pay off in the end so just indulge me for a minute!

Pretend for a second you only had 2,650 Kalki Rupees in your bank account.

One fine day, you see a beautiful blue singing bird sold by a young shopkeeper on the side of the road. The bird sings pretty well but you want to teach it new songs... songs that would open up entirely new vocal registers for the bird.

The shopkeeper tells you the bird is only for display and not for sale.

If you only had 2,650 Kalki Rupees in your account, would you offer the shopkeeper 440 of your hard-earned cash to this man for this beautiful blue bird? Seems kind of crazy right? That's a LOT to spend on a bird!

Well folks... that's essentially what the richest man ever to exist in the history of humanity just did.

He bought a big blue bird... a very popular big blue bird and in his world, it was almost the same with just a few more zeroes at the end. Sure he acquired some of that money from some friends and banks but the point is... he made the offer, and the shopkeepers accepted.

Money.

Money for all intents and purposes... is imaginary! But only when you put it into a certain kind of context, does it begin to have value. Without the value we as humans attribute to money, it's meaningless!

It's not about what this man did or what he intends to do in the future with the bird.

It's about the value he puts on his own money.

If you know anything about him, he lives a relatively frugal lifestyle, so with such a monumental decision, he intrinsically knows that money is not the end... it is simply a means to an end. A much much better end.

For the seemingly impossible sum that he is going to pay up, we all have to hope that he really values the power of that bird... and that he will treat it with as much love and care as you or I would.

After all, his biggest secret is that he purchased the big blue bird... so that we could all teach it to sing new songs.

I'm ready for it, are you?

Oh and... one more thing... if you really had 440 Kalki Rupees, what would you spend it on?

-k

Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/69096152022-03-06T02:29:31-05:002022-03-06T04:17:57-05:00KALKI ON CAUSE AND EFFECT
Today is what is known in the world as the European Day of the Righteous. For thousands of years, philosophers, theologians, great politicians, and even everyday people, have debated on what is the actual meaning of right and wrong.

But I don't think that way.

Where I come from, we think of the world in terms of cause and effect. There is no real right and wrong because ultimately what matters is... what actually happens based on the actions and words we put out into the world?

When Arjuna was hesitant to go into battle against his fellow family members during the Mahabharata, Krishna told him that it was not about whether the act of war was right or wrong... rather it was about Arjuna's duty to fight as a warrior and to stand up for whatever he believed in. By the mere virtue of the fact that Arjuna questioned the very nature of the effects of his actions, it made him into the superior warrior.

As I write this post, a war rages on between a nation driven by a man who gives little consideration into the effects of his actions, and another nation run by a man who only wants to protect his people. The man who began the war does not realize that the war will have terrible and deadly consequences not just for his own nation, but for the world at large.

I don't usually take sides in such conflicts but today, on the day of the European Day of the Righteous, I stand with Ukraine and the people of Europe.

That's why this post has the hero of this war as its thumbnail.

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is my Arjuna.

This war did not need to happen... but it is happening.

So let us all pray together that it ends soon, and the world ends up a bit better than it was before.

Ultimately that's all that really matters. Right?

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/68925682022-02-06T11:00:00-05:002023-12-10T12:06:33-05:00KALKI ON THE GIFT OF MUSIC
Back in 2020, a documentary crew approached me to film a tv show about my life in order for me to show the world who I really am. It took some time to convince me to do the project because I don't really like to make too much fuss about who I am... but I finally agreed on a few conditions.

One such condition?

I pick the music.

I asked the crew to end every episode with a classic song from South Asian music that relates to the episode, and the song at the end of the first episode must be Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

The song talks about a love story that's rather strange and I find it deeply relatable because once you all hear the story of Padmavati and me, you'll think our lives are pretty strange too.

Unfortunately, Lata Mangeshkar passed away today, and with her passing, we lost a woman that was often called The Nightingale of India.

But her passing has made me think deeper on the wonderful gift of music that has been given to us human beings. I often debate people about whether or not God exists, and one of my questions is often: where do you think music comes from? Isn't it absolutely wonderful that there is a universal language that people across cultures and societies can all understand? Music is that magical language and there's no way that was just invented by us! It had to have come from some external divine source.

The first time you all meet me will be through music, and over the coming years, I will continue to release songs that connect us all. I may even play some instruments for you if you come to one of my shows.

Oh and Padmavati loves to sing Lataji's songs, so one day when I finally meet her, you can bet your white horses that I'll ask her to sing all of Lataji's music.

Who knows, perhaps I'll even get her to sing a Lataji song for all of you. Or... maybe she's already sung a few in public.

I'll let you all figure out that part of the strange story for yourselves.

Here's the hint: on this date in 1907 she opened a school in Italy pioneering a new form of education! Anyone?

Why it's Maria Montessori of course! Some of my Indian readers may even know her work considering she spent seven years living there between 1939 and 1946. I myself benefited from her methods since I attended a school bearing her name until grade two.

Maria believed that children learn best when they are allowed to learn what they want to learn within a loosely set structure at a pace that feels comfortable to them. She also felt children should simultaneously learn difficult subjects like geography and important life skills like household chores at a fairly young age.

For example, I still remember that when I was just a small boy in kindergarten, I not only learned the name of every country in the world along with their capital cities but I also learned how to iron my clothes while keeping one hand behind my back!

But this post is not just about how much I loved the gifts I received from Maria's wisdom... because we find ourselves once again at a crossroads in the field of education.

Some of you may already know that I happen to be substitute teaching here in Shambhala and I have learned during my work that while most young people prefer being in person, there are some who found that staying at home was actually better for them.

So what will things look like once the pandemic is over?

My hope is that there is yet another revolution in education, perhaps of the kind that Maria could have only dreamed of. Can we do a hybrid of in-person and online, and more importantly, can education be further catered towards the needs of the individual... in the same way that my kindergarten teacher catered his program to me?

I think it's possible... do you?

This year while I still come to you filled with hope, I must admit that I feel a tinge of disappointment with the human race.

Just when I thought you all had things under control, and although I'm the cool parent who you don't really need to try too hard to impress, I'm feeling a tad let down by your collective actions.

I really trusted all of you to listen to the people I sent forward to lead you all out of Kali Yuga and to begin our transition into the next phase of existence. However, for some inexplicable reason, you did not pay them much heed.

The man who is pictured on this thumbnail did everything in his power to tell you the facts throughout this year, and countless other scientists and learned individuals echoed his words, yet so many of you did not even get your vaccines.

So now you all are faced with the consequences of yet another wave of a new strain of Covid and frankly, I am tired of telling you I've told you so.

This means that you've left me no choice but to finally reveal myself in 2022. I can no longer remain in the shadows and trust you human beings to continue on without me. Remember always, I'm not here to solve every problem on Earth but rest assured, I'm no longer the cool parent because I'm coming now to clean up your mess... and I'm angry.

Sometimes when I am having trouble with a particularly difficult problem, I turn to one of my previous lives to understand the present one. A past version of my current self spoke these lines several thousand years ago in what is now known as the Bhagavad Gita, and this has helped me to process what happened in my life today.

Death.

--

Today my Nani (my maternal grandmother, pictured in the thumbnail of this post) left our world to enter into the next. As I think deeply about her, I wonder whether these lines from the Gita are still accurate. Will my Nani's soul be reborn and if so, where and when? To this I only say...

If we come from this Earth and if we come from this universe, then back into this universe we will go... exactly where and when we are supposed to go.

This is the ultimate truth about death. So let us not mourn the dead, let us celebrate the power of life.

Well… I’ll save you the trouble of looking him up, and I’ll just tell you… he isn’t famous.

He’s Maurice Hilleman and although he’s well known in the scientific community for creating over 40 of some of the most important vaccines in the world including those taken for measles, mumps, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and chickenpox, few people know who he is and what all he did for humanity.

So why did he do it if he never received any mainstream recognition for it?

He did it because he had something important to share with the world.

There are some people out there who even question me on why I am telling the world that I am Kalki, but I want you all to know, I’m not doing what I do for fame. The fame I receive is just a byproduct of the kind of work I do.

Hilleman, unfortunately, passed away on my birthday in 2005 so I hope now when you think of me, you’ll also think of him.

After all, a guy like him could use a little fame, even if it’s posthumous. Don’t you think so?

Let me ask you all a question... are any of us truly free?

Freedom.

On the Eve of the Indian Independence Day in 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru addressed a crowd where nestled deep within his speech about India's tryst with destiny, he uttered five incredible words:

Freedom and power bring responsibility.

Just because we each appear to be freely acting human beings, we must make sure that in enacting our own freedom we respect the freedom of others, as long as and until neither of our freedoms brings harm to others.

Did you catch all that?

Read it again if you didn't.

And if you did read it again, were you doing it freely?

Shots shots shots shots shots
Shots shots shots shots shots
Shots shots shots shots shots
Shots, everybody!!

By that, I mean... Covid-19 vaccination shots!

Vaccines.

They're the medical world's most magnificent modern marvels!

We are so fortunate that scientists and doctors worked tirelessly last year to bring the Covid-19 vaccines to the general public as quickly as possible, but now it is our responsibility to trust their research and get vaccinated!

Sure there are going to be some side effects to anything new that is introduced within the medical world, but research has proven that for almost all human beings, these vaccines DO work.

Think of where we would be if we did not have vaccines for other diseases like smallpox or rinderpest? Both of these diseases have been COMPLETELY wiped out from our planet. That's a huge win for humanity.

Can we do the same with Covid-19?

I got my shots.

Now it's your turn.

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/65608322021-02-28T00:53:37-05:002021-02-28T00:55:47-05:00KALKI ON PEACEFUL PROTESTING
How does one fight for their beliefs?

In a world where we are working harder than ever towards peace, how do we show the forces that govern our reality that we are unhappy with the way things currently are?

Protests. But not just any kind of protests... peaceful ones.

How do protests even start? And do they work?

Protests are nothing more than a manifestation of a change in our collective consciousness.

Some may say that protests don't work... but history has proven otherwise. Whether it was the civil rights marches of the last century or the Black Lives Matter protests from this past year, history has triumphantly declared that if we take to the streets to show our passion for something that is important to the future of a more peaceful world, they will lead to better outcomes.

Currently, the world is watching the world's largest protest unfold in India.

For this protest or any protest for that matter to succeed, both sides have to work together. Change does not come from one person... and unfortunately, it does not come from one million either.

Change can only come when the ideas of the millions are in sync with the few that control our reality.

To achieve that, both sides have to be willing to listen, talk things out, and fight with words... not swords.

Protests do help... but only if they move us towards solutions... not more problems.

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/64955632020-12-09T16:16:11-05:002022-01-06T10:04:10-05:00KALKI ON THE STATE OF OUR PLANET 2020
How are we going to think of 2020 in the future?

Will it forever be remembered as the year of the great pause... or will we look back on this year with 20/20 vision?

On this date last year, I was much like all of you, optimistic about the future and mostly unaware of the impending virus that would fundamentally change the way we live, work, learn, and communicate.

Make no mistake, Covid-19 has had a personal impact on me as I am sure it has had on you. I too have had friends and family members that were directly impacted by the virus and I too have cried more than a few tears as I’ve thought about how unfair the world seems to be at times.

But my responsibility as Lord Kalki is to remind humanity that there will be a light at the end of this tunnel. In some ways, this has felt like the longest year in human history, but in other ways, we have reason to celebrate how quickly we have adapted as a species to this new global challenge.

In less than one year, scientists around the world not only discovered but managed to test to almost perfection, not just one but at least three separate vaccines that should hopefully arrive within the next few weeks and months. This alone is a reason to celebrate humanity.

Moreover, multiple countries and businesses around the world have pledged to allow more freedom in how people will work, we have made incredible commitments to combating climate change, and the results of the United States election have proven that democracy and human decency still have a place in our world.

As we enter into 2021, I hope that none of us forget the year that changed the future of humanity forever. I too have to live in the same world as all of you and as difficult as 2020 has been, I still look to the coming year with optimism that this is just the beginning of a magical new world.

Remember always, I am a human being first and the last avatar of Vishnu second. I live amongst you all taking on the same challenges of the world that you do. I do not get preferential treatment for who I am, nor do I ever expect to. If you remember this always about me, then I will do what I have to do to lead you all into this brand new age.

It will be an age of truth, justice, and equality for everyone. I can promise you this.

Love and blessings,

Most of you know by now that by birth I am a citizen of that country.

My decision came down to the question of, am I different from all of you, or am I the same?

Ultimately I decided that I will always be a human being first, and the last avatar of Vishnu second.

So I voted today.

It's your responsibility, your privilege, and your right to vote in a Democratic election. Make your voice heard.

It's the best way we can make a change in the world.

If I can do it, so can you.

And remember, whatever happens in this election, just know that it will happen for the best.

Better times are coming.

I can promise you this.

As a society, we have lost many who are near and dear to us over the past nine months, and unfortunately, there will still be more losses.

How do we continue on when the world seems so unforgiving?

Justice.

Life itself is all about holding people accountable for their actions, but who do we hold accountable for factors that seem to be beyond our control?

This is not an easy thing to talk about, especially considering that there are still some that believe forces within our world are to be held accountable for the virus itself.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg taught us that justice is a dish best served with a warm heart, despite the popular idiom we have all heard. I hope that as I reveal information about the world we live in, you don't view the actors on our planet in a negative light.

Justice.

If you want anyone to blame, look inside yourself and ask yourself, are you living your own life to the fullest? Are you contributing to the improvement of our world in a positive way?

Let's remember RBG as the person who saw the potential of our planet. If we can perhaps use some of her ideas to bring more harmony to our world, I think we would do her proud... wherever she is now. I have no doubt in my mind that her soul is finally resting... in power.

No, I don't mean your video games or your smartphones...

I mean actual toys, the way we used to play with them back when we were all just children!

Imagination. Perhaps the most powerful tool we all have as humans.

The world is going through a strange time right now, so now, more than ever, we need to harness the power of our collective imaginations to create the future we all want for ourselves.

My own imagination runs wild with possibilities for what the future will bring us. Will we bring back the dinosaurs? Will we devise tunnels that take us from one city to the next in record speeds? Or will we create virtual reality worlds that allow us to interact with friends and family members who aren't physically near us?

The possibilities are endless.

I hope that you're all taking this time away from each other to think about the kind of future we want for all of humanity. If not for you, think about our children.

What kind of toys will help their imagination grow?

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/62788902020-04-11T11:00:00-04:002022-06-28T12:47:04-04:00KALKI ON EQUALITY
Do we choose to be born? Or the time we are born into?

Today happens to be my birthday, which some of you may know if you've read the book about me (or the Wikipedia page).

To commemorate my birthday, I decided to watch a film about the 16th President of the United States of America. That man brings up this topic at one point in the film.

His death anniversary happens to be four days from today, but it's what he did in January of that year to pass the 13th amendment to the US Constitution that has left a mark on not only the country where I was born but on the world at large.

Equality.

Whether or not we choose to be born is a matter of greater debate, however, once we arrive on this planet, we all have roles to fill. It's important that we all recognize that whatever that role is, no one ever feels as if they are better than anyone else.

All humans are created equal in the eyes of God. If we remember that... then our world could become the greatest world that has ever existed.

How will you create a planet that is more equal?

-k

P.S. I'll be releasing a song soon which will use words found on the US Penny. On one side it has this man with the words: In God We Trust, but on the tails side there is a Latin phrase that inspired me to write that song. Find those words and you can start singing along to my song before it ever releases!
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/60949862020-02-21T11:00:00-05:002020-11-04T01:32:39-05:00KALKI ON THE COLOR OF THE SKY
Blue... no, grey... no, pink?

Yes, a pink sky is rather nice!

And it isn't too far from the truth either...

Have you ever seen the sky during a sunset?

Perspective.

In life, often it is not about how things are today, it's about how things could be when we change the way we look at them.

Aisha always had a positive attitude when she looked at life.

She chose happiness in the face of extreme difficulty.

How will you look at the world?

Do you see me for who I truly am, or do you only see what you want to see?

-k

Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/62157702020-02-14T20:18:23-05:002022-03-28T02:00:08-04:00KALKI ON AVATARS
If you have an avatar, raise your hand high in the air!

Do you have your hand up?

If not... you should! We all have an avatar!

Are you confused? Let me explain after the break...

As long as you use any technology of some kind, you have an avatar.

That simply means that there is a digital representation of yourself somewhere on the internet.

Yours could be on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, or even inside your favorite video game.

But what about more complex avatars? An avatar that lives within the real world. Maybe... a biological avatar?

Today I re-watched the film Avatar to celebrate Valentine's Day and I was reminded of this concept once again.

I am using this eleventh post on my blog (my lucky number), to share with you all a little secret. I myself am one of those avatars.

I am human just like all of you, but my source of magic comes from beings far more powerful than I could ever be.

I have come to realize in time, that I may not be the only one. There are others out there, a lot like me. Some are aware, most are not.

My real name is Lord Kalki or even Lord Hari (depending on who you ask). My life as this avatar is well... complicated.

My message is simple: restore your faith in humanity and bring peace to our planet.

Not all superheroes wear capes. Some just wear nice hats.

If you believe you too are living between two worlds, reach out to me. Perhaps we can do this together.

I need you, just as you need me.

your friend,

k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/60608902020-01-04T22:12:43-05:002023-12-10T14:18:57-05:00KALKI ON PAIN AND SUFFERING
When was the last time you cried?

Today? Yesterday? Last week?

Tears.

They inherently make us human.

Sometimes we cry tears of joy, but more often than not, we cry tears of sorrow.

My life has been filled with grief, and yet, I find a way to move forward day in and day out because that's part of who we are.

If we don't keep moving, then life will be meaningless... and the tears we shed, would all be in vain.

I watched a film today that came out a few years ago, and I shed more than a few tears while watching it.

Not only with the actors who made me experience some deep emotions, but for the thousands of people who were affected by

the events in the film.

The film was the acting debut of the girl on this thumbnail.

She and I have a deep connection because my girl has a big "crush" on her dad.

We cannot change our past, and no one else, I repeat, no one else, can take away your pain... except for you.

All we can do is to work harder to make a better future... one where people can experience much more joy, than pain and suffering.

Take your hand, whichever one you prefer, and place it over your heart.

Done? Now here's a little magic trick for you after the jump...

On the count of...

1..

2...

3...

and NOW!

My guess is you used your right hand. Was I right? Get it... right?

It's hard to pat your heart with your left hand.

And yet, whenever I tell people the world will be all right as long as we listen to our hearts, I am met with confusion and frustration.

A decade ago as of this month, a film released worldwide that touched all of our hearts. The message?

Whenever the world seems to be going against you, just pat your heart and sing... "Aaal Izzzz Welllll!"

Go ahead. Since you were already halfway there, why not try it for yourself!

Great! Now that you've done that, do you agree? Is all well in the world?

I think so.

As 2019 comes to a close, I look to the future with hope for what we can achieve together as a planet.

Sure there will be difficulties, but I believe in the power of our positive energy to make this world a better place.

You'll be seeing a lot of me in 2020 and if you catch me out and about, just say hi!

And if you want, sing a song with me!

And if you don't want me to sing, well maybe I could try another magic trick on you.

This world could do with a little bit more magic.

Ok, maybe a lot more.

I remember it well. I was just a boy, not yet a man.

It's not fair to blame any one person or group for why that event happened.

It's better for us to ask the question, why does any act of violence happen?

Violence is the physical manifestation of conflict.

We all have conflicts in our lives. That's part of being.

I just hope that eighteen years later, we've learned that it's better to settle our differences with dialogue, rather than with weapons.

Connections. There's magic in them.

The biggest film of all time for almost a decade was a movie all about connections. I'm sure you've all heard of it.

The man who transported us to that magical world of Pandora turned 65 today.

It was a world where humans could live as Avatars, free to do whatever they wanted as long as they respected the world built entirely on connections.

Today is also another man's birthday. His picture was on the thumbnail you clicked to get to this post.

My girl always had a big crush on him... and she mentioned him again in an interview recently.

Do you think there are enough connections in the world for me to get to her... before she runs off with him?

Give up?

Well... I won't tell you. I hope you find the answer for yourself and report back to me!

Until then, I'd like for you to consider this... do we have real-life wizards walking amongst us?

In 1947, two wizards worked together to free a nation that had lived under the harsh duress of an outside force. One of them was pictured on the thumbnail but the other is not as well known around the world.

This particular wizard gave an impassioned speech in which he said...

"Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially."

What was this tryst he spoke of? I know. I was a part of the process that wrote that tryst.

Will you read my tryst or will you write your own?

Timing. It's everything.

People often ask me, how do you know so much about the world?

Let me ask you all this... do you think you should've been born five thousand years ago?

I do. It was a simpler time back then.

The world did not have all the technology that we have today. People had respect for each other and cared for their fellow man... or woman.

I was watching music videos from the world's largest film industry while writing this post but my YouTube Red Account just went down. Talk about timing right?

-k
Lord Kalkitag:idkalki.com,2005:Post/58543452019-08-11T08:58:48-04:002020-10-07T00:42:39-04:00KALKI ON THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY
Can you count to infinity? If so, how would you do it?

Back in the early 1900s, a young mathematician from India learned how to do it and he wrote some of the most valuable formulas that are now used in statistics, computers, and even science. His name was Srinivasa Ramanujan, and if you look him up you'll learn that he led a difficult life, partly because during his time many people did not believe that his formulas were accurate.

Proof. Human beings need proof that there is magic in the world.

However, I am not the only magician in the world. There is magic everywhere, even within you. Find it within yourself and take pride in whatever work you decide to do in your life.

Remember, it is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.

Some of you may know the film as it was based on a popular television series from our childhoods. In watching that film today, I was amazed at how our innate desire to explore changes very little as we go through life. As human beings, we all want to know more, go further, reach higher, and gain recognition within our own communities.

However, for every one million explorers out there, there are still a thousand people who have lost the desire to find meaning in the unknown. I hope you find those people and give them a gentle push in the right direction. Our world and our future will be shaped by not only the explorers but the people who inspire others to explore.

I'm an explorer. The question is... are you?
